Admissions Process at Centennial Peaks
When you first arrive at Centennial Peaks Hospital, you will receive 45 to 60-minute complimentary level-of-care assessment. A licensed mental health professional will gather information and will work with you to determine your treatment needs. A loved one is welcome to come to the assessment, but you will also be seen individually during this process. We will bring in other family members if deemed necessary.
After an assessment, there are three standard next steps for most patients:
- If a recommendation is made for you to attend outpatient treatment, you will be provided resources to make an appointment with a mental health or chemical dependency professional in the community.
- If our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) either for Mental Health or for Chemical Dependency is recommended, we will check your insurance benefits for this program and schedule when you will come in for your first session.
- If you require inpatient stabilization, you will fill out admission paperwork and be admitted following your assessment. Most often, patients needing inpatient treatment are voluntary. Occasionally patients will need to be put on an M1 Hold. Being placed on an M1 Hold means that a Centennial Peaks Hospital physician has determined, along with your assessor, which you need to be kept in a secure environment for up to 72 hours.
